The Honest Story:
TL/DR: Photography is everything and I explain how I got into my varied specialisations and why.
In 2011 I borrowed my mother’s DSLR camera and never gave it back. When that shutter clicked for the very first time I knew that this is what I should’ve been doing all along.

Because I was pretty much emerged in the equestrian world, my first models naturally were horses. They eventually turned into human models and I started to attend Cosplay & Fantasy events. Lots of cool people were met and I got so many lovely opportunities to learn various skills in the taking of the photos, but also in photo editing and developing my style.

I have an anxiety disorder and concerts were pretty much a no-go for me. One day I read that one of my favorite artists, Tarja Turunen welcomed her crowds to bring their camera’s. That sounded fun. So I brought the love of my life (my Nikon) and a whole new world opened up for me. It was the most awesome thing I had ever done and surprisingly, I had no panic attacks that night.

These days I can easily attend anything without any attacks, I thoroughly believe that photography “fixed” me. But I would prefer to have my camera with me. It is the most wonderful thing to observe the art that people make on stage, together with the lighting wizards and to make it into my own pieces of art. I also very much love to be able to capture the fun the artists as well as the fans are having. It’s just the best thing ever.

As of late I added sports photography into this mix. I can see the beauty in every type of sport and I like to bring that to my photos. I greatly appreciate how much work and sacrifice people lay into their sports and I find it awesome to see athletes flourish, whether they win or lose. And when they lose, how they find the courage and strength in it to get back up again. It is difficult to capture that in one or two photos, obviously, but I feel I have the compassion to make sports photos that show the world the story of that moment. Or at least, I strife to do exactly that.
